What we store
Three kinds of thing, all of them yours.
- Your account: the email address or phone number you sign up with, and a password that is stored hashed, never in readable form
- Your business profile: the name, address, tax details and logo you put on your own documents
- What you create in the app: bills, customers, items and payments, kept so they sync between your devices and are still there when you sign in somewhere else
Why we store it
So the product works. A billing app that forgets your items every morning is not a billing app, and a bill you cannot find again is not a record.
The free tool pages on this site are different. They run entirely in your browser and do not need an account, so what you type into one of them is not sent to us.
Payments
Payments are processed by Cashfree. You enter your card, UPI or bank details on their checkout, not on ours. We never see or store a full card number. What we keep is the record of the order: which plan, how much, when, and the reference the processor gives it, which is what lets us match a payment to your account and look up a refund.
Who else sees it
We do not sell customer lists and we do not share your data with advertisers.
The service runs on infrastructure and tools we pay for, such as hosting, the database, the payment processor and website analytics, and those providers process data on our behalf so the product can run. We may also disclose data if the law requires it. That is the whole list.
Getting your data out, and deleting it
Exporting your own data is available on every plan, in every state, including a plan that has lapsed. If you want your account and its data deleted, write in and ask. Some records have to be kept for as long as tax and accounting law says, and we will tell you which ones those are rather than quietly holding on to everything.
Cookies and analytics
Signing in sets what the app needs to keep you signed in on that device. We also use website analytics to see which pages people read, which sets its own cookies. Your browser can block or clear both, and the free tool pages work either way.
What we are not claiming
We protect the data with the usual measures: encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access limited to the people who run the service. We hold no security certification and we have not appointed a data protection officer, so we are not going to put either on this page. If that matters for your business, ask us what we do and we will answer honestly.
